Who are We?

The North West Wine and Spirit Association is the largest of five regional associations affiliated to the national Wine and Spirit Association (WSTA).

Our membership is made up of individuals, small firms, local branches of national companies and national companies with local headquarters in the wine, spirit and allied trades.

Whilst we play an active role in representing the North West’s interest with the WSTA, the NWWSA places more emphasis on the human face of the Trade in our area.

Our stated objectives are:

1. To further the united interests of the members in the area covered by our Association (Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, North Wales and the Isle of Man);
2. To promote friendly communication between members of this Association and all connected with the Wine & Spirit Trade;
3. To provide educational facilities to improve the understanding and appreciation of wines and spirits;
4. To raise funds for the Wine and Spirit Trades Benevolent Society.
